I am interested in selling vintage candy, prepackaged muffins and snacks. in a general store/vintagestore maybe purchase from a vendor at a farmers market. I just got my building, I have to do the electric and inside walls myself before I get started. But what will I need to do after that I'm starting a small business, but this site is tricky to use. I'm trying to apply for what's required in my state I'm here. I'm pretty sure some things aren't required here. State laws vary Don't they do these things at the county clerk's office?

You need at least a BUSINESS LICENSE and an EIN. "IF," you want to buy or sell wholesale(in bulk) or sell retail( in small amounts) any materials, items or equipment, you need a SELLER'S PERMIT.Finally, if using a trade name, such as "Bob's BBQ," you will need a DBA filing. Alternatively, you can form an LLC or incorporate and that will register the name anyway plus it will protect your personal and business assets.
