Sole proprietor, 2. Partnership, and 3. Corporation or Limited Liability Company. All small, new, home based businesses, web based online as well as big businesses must select and register as on of these business tax structure entities.  If you decide to be an employer that is have employees, you will need a federal  ein ID and state ein tax numbers..


Though a sole proprietorship does not need a federal tax ID number a partnership does. A partnership also needs a fictitious business name to operate as well as a partnership agreement.
Because your business is a home business you may need a home occupation license and a business license. An online home business is subject to all legal permits requirements like any other business. It is not recommended to have structure that will look like a store from the street. If there may be zoning restrictions in using your home as a business location you may do not want to start a business at your home.

I just got my building, I have to do the electric and inside walls myself before I get started. But what will I need to do after that I'm starting a small business, but this site is tricky to use. I'm trying to apply for what's required in my state I'm here. I'm pretty sure some things aren't required here. State laws vary Don't they do these things at the county clerks office? Hi I am looking to purchase wholesale to resell online..
